The best system can only be as good as the interface to the customer – the screen or monitor or screen.
And the environment in which the Digital Signage System is supposed to “deliver” the messages. In a beverage market, we recommend no less than 65 inches, often as much as 75 inches (inches) of screens that depend on the ceiling.
In a doctor’s office, this would be overkill in most cases, here 42-inch screens are more suitable.

How to estimate screen size
Monitor sizes are always given in inches, below you will find a conversion table of inches (inches) in cm. The screen diagonal is always from the picture corner, e.g. at the bottom left to the corner at the top right.

Monitor vs. TV for marketing screens
From our experience, in most cases a commercially available TV is completely enough for the installations. This is good news, especially for cost reasons.
Of course, the question “TV screen vs. high-end monitor” depends on the use and requirements (touchscreen). An infoscreen in a station has to withstand different stresses (vandalism) than an advertising screen in a guarded shop (although in the example of the station display a normal TV is usually sufficient, here rather the protective housing plays a main role).
In our view, the question “TV vs. monitor” is idle: the screens themselves come from the same production in case of doubt and the connections are almost identical.
What is more important here is experience with the respective durability: Poor quality, whether with monitor or TV/TV leads to downtime and costly or costly repairs.
The only situation in which monitors are necessary is with touch-screen display systems.
We have had the best experience with private label screens that have been in use almost around the clock for years.
Professional displays from LG Samsung and Panasonic
Companies such as LG or Panasonic offer product series that offer higher resilience or warranty levels. Here, the higher acquisition costs and the better service level have to be weighed against commercially available devices. In the end, it is a matter of the tCO (total cost of ownership), whereby factors such as customer satisfaction and image must also be included in this calculation (a black screen always seems unprofessional).
For this reason, our Digital Signage TheBox is designed to make it easy to replace the screen, so that in most cases a commercially available TV is the best solution for our customers. Normal TV screens have become so cheap in mass production that when prices fall it is easy to exchange them, often for a larger device.
